"This is Howard, my childhood friend. He was my mom's paper boy (I must have been 5 or 6 years old)and Howard was 9 or 10 years old. We lived in the same neighborhood (Vegas, Douglas and Maple area) as children, and from the Avalon Drug Store Days on Cedar Springs, where he lived on Knight and I lived on Douglas, both just off Cedar Springs. Served me and my sister, Angie & brother, all kinds of goodies when he worked as the soda jerk back in the 50's when I was 12 years old attending grade School, Howard was at North Dallas High School by then. My banana splits have never tasted the same. He had magic hands. My brother say's "Howard is a good man." I'm sure he is. Hi Howard!"
